| Title | Globalising the Classroom: Lessons Learned from Teleclasses in Qatar’s Education City |
|---|---|
| Author | Benjamin Reilly - Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar |
Abstract This case study considers how branch campuses based in Education City, Qatar, employ teleconferencing technology to achieve different aims and objectives. By detailing to what extent and for what purposes these branch campuses make use of increasingly sophisticated telecommunications technology, it analyses how teleclasses shape classroom environments. In doing so, this case study suggests that the three distinct models of telecommunications in use at Education City present best practice lessons which branch campuses located elsewhere may wish to follow. |
